I always find Thanksgiving to be a good time to reflect, wind down, and to take some time to put things into perspective. I wear bright colors, and feel holiday ready. Thanksgiving gratitude fills my heart.
Thanksgiving gratitude is a time specific emotion; time to acknowledge all that I am thankful for.
Below, sunny skies and a red coat have me feeling holiday ready.
Below a shot of my friend at lunch. Chic, beautiful inside and out!
We passed a bakery and decided that Chestnut tarts would be a perfect thing to bring to the Thanksgiving holiday dinner. I have two coming up… Doubly grateful , talk about Thanksgiving Gratitude !
My sister-in-law, and her husband, did a fabulous job preparing a feast for a very large family gathering. Their house was beautifully decorated and lavish with Thanksgiving decorations, and the warm colors we associate with Thanksgiving gratitude : the spirit of thanksgiving.
I wore a brocade jacket thrifted many years ago. The style is trending now, but for me it remains a classic. I felt holiday ready in these autumnal colors. My nephews were running in the backyard and I was looking out the window.
The lovely tabelscape and rich decor of my sister-in- law’s house. I love the rich wine color of the walls, trimmed with white chair molding, such a crisp contrast, and perfect for the season. I also love the murano glass and sterling serving pieces. Old world beauty.
So very much to be grateful for this year. Yes, there were some sad events, but overall I feel so lucky to have such good friends, family, a rich social network online , and in real life. My bevy of friends who support me, and keep me balanced and well. I so appreciate each and everyone ! My loving husband of 34 years… My adult children doing well. SO MUCH! Thanksgiving gratitude is such a warm, palpable and welcomed presence in my heart .
Do you feel gratitude on this holiday, assuming of course, you celebrate it? What do you feel most grateful for?
