Little did I know that when I stepped out, two days ago, that the streets would be filled with gaggles of folks lining up happily, and donning funky glasses on their head, which were pointed to the sky!
Exclamations of wonder punctuated the otherwise normal Manhattan ambient noise.
I found myself wearing an intense coral-orange that mirrored the vibrant orange of the crescent moon, the part of the moon that was not eclipsed. Also my Lederer bag was the same orange, you will see below. So after I got some photos of the eclipse that I share below, my friend snapped some shots of me in the streets a bit later, after the happy crowds dispersed.

IT WAS A WINDY DAY. I LOVED HOW MY SKIRT, FROM NY AND CO., BLEW IN THE WIND, SHOWING THE PURPLE UNDER LAYER,. IT IS STILL AVAILABLE HERE , AND ON SALE. WITH THE PURPLE UNDERLAY, IT IS A NATURAL FOR LATE SUMMER AND FALL, TOO WITH BOOTS.

MY SHOT OF THE ECLIPSE IS NOT TOO IMPRESSIVE ON THIS PLATFORM, BUT WHEN I SAW I WAS THRILLED AS A CHILD!

When I walked out I wanted to see the eclipse, but I did not have the necessary glasses. I asked a stranger if I might barrow hers, and she said "certainly, but I will do you one better, I have an extra and you can have them!" So thank you to this kind stranger for this lovely gesture. This was only the first one two kids gestured that I experienced that day!
I wore this skirt recently with stripes and also wanted to show you that look. It does have a sportier vibe, I think!

BELOW, A DETAIL SHOT OF THE CONTRASTING STRIPES IN BLUE AND BROWN.

Is it me or does that bag much like the Henri Bendel stripe ! ( it is not, but after searching on line to confirm the stripe is similar, I do see some things I quite like! As below, an umbrella I could have used last night!

Did you get to see the eclipse, partial or total? Were you as enthralled as I was with this phenomenon ? Tell me, I would love to know!
