I noticed a fabulous new salon in my neighborhood and was invited in. There was a grand opening that was GRAND indeed. Studio 34 in Manhattan is a well reviewed hair salon(s) specializing in precision haircuts and hand painted balayge.
Above, I am wearing a tiered, silk dress in beige, a simple side swept pony tail, two necklaces from KCSignatures, another local business that you know I love, and a two toned mini bag from Coccinelle.
Below some photos from this very celebratory opening. They truly went all out, and this detail oriented approach in their opening seems to be the way they style hair, too, according to glowing Yelp reviews.
While I did not partake, libations were flowing!
Who here, reading along, DOES NOT LOVE THIS MYLAR BALLOON?
Okay, back to what I wore. My silk dress is another $10.00 thrifted buy from the Retreat Boutique in Bridgehampton, where the proceeds support local shelters for battered women. My cuff is Swarovski and was purchased on Etsy, after an exhaustive search for a cuff bracelet in my tiny wrist size. Etsy, too, is a great platform to support small business.
Below the closeup of bling features the cuff, stacking rings, and an enameled ring, of which I am an enthusiastic fan.
Below more shots from the opening of me in my very beige dress. I relied on my sweet mini bag for a pop of color, and let the tiers of the dress be the ornamentation along with the two amethyst and garnet necklaces that I had made from a pair of earrings from KCSignatures .
I can not wear heavy earrings or pierced earrings, but these I sensed would be beautiful as pendants, which proved true, I think. I had them made into two lengths to wear separately or alone. You will see a close up of these in another post. I often see something and then convert it or change it up, to make it more interesting. The two pendants, converted from earrings, is another of my edited purchases!
So if you are in need of a a great haircut, and/or are interested in ombre or balayage, this would be a great place to go. This post in non sponsored, and reflects my views based on great Yelp reviews, and the great vibe of this place- along with my commitment to supporting small and local. BTW, I am still loyal to my hair stylist at another location, so I will come here for spa treatments-- Heaven!
