Pearl-trimmed shoes added some girlish drama recently.
It was cold out, but I was feeling a hint of Spring. I wore a studded moto jacket, too, frayed denim and red mary janes.
I SAW THIS PADDLE AND THOUGHT, HMM; HOW APROPOS. ONE NEVER KNOWS WHEN ONE WILL BE UPSTREAM. YES, I AM A BIT REACTIVE TO THE CHAOTIC GOING-ONS IN THE NEWS AND ABOUT TOWN!
HUBBY AND I WERE DRIVING BACK TO THE CITY AND STOPPED HERE TO SHOOT. I BROUGHT TWO PAIRS OF SHOES, NOT KNOWING WHICH WOULD LOOK BEST AND NOT KNOWING FOR SURE IF WE EVEN WOULD HAVE TIME TO SHOOT.
IT WAS ONE OF THOSE WEEKENDS. EVEN THOUGH THE WEEKEND WAS PRISTINE AND LOVELY.
So I will leave it up to you. I meant to wear the pearl-trimmed shoes with a crisp white shirt and some gold pretzel knot earrings. But the shirt got creased in the car. ( puppy was jumping around, as puppies do). And I thought the studded jacket was a bit much with the embellished shoes, but I decided to shoot both.
You know how you think things look one way, but the crisp photo tells you another story? Below the red maryjanes.
Now the same outfit with the pearl-trimmed shoes.
These pretty pumps were a $10 buy from Sag harbor years ago by Manolo Blahnick. I love these babies!
OF COURSE A DIFFERENT BACKGROUND FOR THEM.
A CLOSE UP BELOW.
SO what do you think? Pearl shoes or red maryjanes?
I think I already know. I hope to get a shot of these with a simple white shirt or the blue shirt that I bought in Portugal with the mixed seams one day, soon. But I am glad to show you these cute and whimsical shoes anyway!
