Atelier Karolina Lankocz was a stand out designer for the runway collections of NYFW 2019. A master of dressmaking details, Karolina’s one of a kind gowns distinguished themselves as a reminder that luxury couture commands every discerning glance.
NYFW 2019 was dizzying in its packed schedules, neon lights, and runway buzz. Many of the looks feature street wear, and exaggerated details- that while perky on the runway , would be impossible to wear. For that reason, I admire these designs even more.
Enter Atelier Karolina Lanckocz !
Beaded gowns with dramatic trains swept through the runway as a whisper of nostalgic wonder.
SWOON! -ATELIER KAROLINA LANKOCZ-
My dear readers know that my son is engaged. Therefore, you know me well you and you realize that I am a devotee of both the crafted dress and the artisanal details.
Couture flourishes are not lost on me. Hand sewn bugle beads are as distinctive to me as a green traffic light. Green = GO!
Above and below this golden gown is a stunner!

Lets say it together ! SWOON!
Below the “Mai dress” and other note-worthies in a fluid runway walk.
Karolina Lancozc was excited to be featured in Miss Continential UK 2017. Her second success was a collaboration with
Tanya La Gatta where her designs were highlighted at the Sanremo Music Festival 2018. At that point, the pair decided to collaborate for both the Cannes Film Festival 2018 and the Venice Film Festival 2018 as future events.
Thusly, when a talented visionary is recognized it, is indeed an honor!
Congratulations to Atelier Karolina Lankocz!
Blush pink sweeps down the red carpet in the form of this “Amira” dress!
Lace and illusion mesh is alluring but still modest. Perfectling this delicate balance is essential. Certainly, a woman wants to be tasteful, but she still desires to stand out. When Covering Fashion week, this is an achievement that I look for and applaud.
SWEEP SWEEP, FLUTTER FLUTTER! PINK PEONIES ADORN!
As a result of this aesthetic, WE SEE GRACE PERSONIFIED WITH THIS ETHEREAL AND DIAPHANOUS TRAIN.
YES, I WAS THERE!
In closing, I hesitate to hate end this post with a #WIW to NYFW outfit. However, I shall ! 🙂 A feminine vibe suited me as I wore a white lace dress cinched with a floral embroidered Prada belt. A statement necklace of handset white topaz added a nice blingy flash.
However, Instagram has a few of these photos if you want to get a sneak peek !
This outfit below is of the same ensemble topped with an Italian made camel coat, that is part vest and part shawl. Bought locally from a mom and pop shop in accordance to my shopping ethos. Thus, this neutral woolly number kept me warm on a cold afternoon.
Finally, dear readers, what did you this of this year’s NYFW roster?
Please let me know! You know how!
A note about these photos. All of these images are my own. Therefore, please share with credit to The Elle diaries. 🙂

How elegant you look, Elle! I love the vest/cape/coat, and marvelous that you found it locally second-hand. Those dresses are definitely swoon-worthy! Delicate fabrics, beautiful details, so much swoosh and movement! I bet you are having fun scouting for a potential wedding! So fun.
Wishing you a week of joy!
Yes, I was on swoosh overload!
My cape coat is great for days when it is cold and then warms up!
I am having fun with the wedding planning!
I have not started looking for me though.
I may wear a dress that is 15 years old, it is the right color, and it has pockets!
