One of my models, who is also a friend, joined me at the Kimberly Hotel for dinner out after I had styled her . We had lovely time. Below our impromptu shots of the night!
I styled Sam in a fabulous and I mean FABULOUS tunic by Anna Sui.
It has three layers of tulle underneath, the embroidery is divine, and the triple layers of beads decorating the flared sleeve– well the sum total of the piece reminds me of clothing I have seen in costume exhibits, that is how beautiful this tunic is.
Of course on Sam, the outfit was the perfect compliment to her own luminous looks Below a shot of the whole look in the uber chic lobby of the Kimberly Hotel.
Sam is wearing double buckle boots by Laurence Decade Paris . The black chevron tights added a nice texture although they read brown here. They also added some opacity, as this tunic is short.
The fingerless gloves are a chic accent, and are practical for when you are doing the things we ladies do… like check our iPhones! The gloves are CHANEL. via Designer Revival. Sam wears sunnies from Style-Now.com “Le Fleur” in black.
Below a candid of Sam checking her phone near the very cool fish tank. The colors are a bit off from the light that the tank throws off, but I liked this shot anyway. Another great feature of this great Hotel and restaurant–it even has a lively rooftop bar!
OH, this mirror!
Exquisite details above and below!
After a sumptuous dinner of skate fish and steak, we went to the rooftop bar. It was busy and lively! The views were tremendous!
Now Sam took my phone and got a snap of me outside. The lighting was not optimal, but you can see I am there and having fun! Below I am wearing a skirt from The Retreat Boutique, and a Mark Cross Bag.
I love when I find special places to go to. I found this place last year with Allie, of AllieNYC.com, by a very happy accident. I so enjoyed visiting with Samantha, we had the best conversation about art, love, politics, and the differences (and similarities) between our generations.
Do you have friends in different age groups? I have old and young friends alike and I treasure each every one of them. Please share your experiences below!
Happy week ahead, and love and prayers to anyone directly, or indirectly affected by the hurricane.
