A couture wedding gown is the stuff of dreams.
An exquisite, handmade dress, combined with a fabulous precious jewel, summons a feast of the senses. Additionally, the couture wedding gown is an announcement of love and commitment. Exquisite in 18k, the pendant below is one of a kind by Jemily.com . How intense are these green tourmalines and diamonds. What a perfect union!
Jude Jowilson’s design aesthetic is classic with a modern approach .
Jude’s lavish attention to detail is what distinguishes his craft. His gowns are handcrafted in the USA, an increasingly rare endeavor. The supremely talented Jude Jowilson exudes warmth and is humble about his talent.
Below this gown shines with endless hand covered buttons and a feminine bow . These details are illustrative of his lush flourishes and handicraft.
Pure artistry abounds in this shot from taken at a trunk show at Something Bleu Bridal Boutique in Oceanside, California, photo courtesy of Jude JowilsonBridal NYC.com .
See these ornamental beauties closer from my shot at Jude’s stunning studio showroom in posh Flatiron. You know how much I appreciate the talented artisan.
Regrettably, I could not attend his bridal event at Forever Amour Bridal Boutique , so I was so grateful that Jude extended a personal invitation to me and a handful of other PR and press outlets to his lovely space. What a pleasure to see the gowns up close in his chic downtown abode.
THE BRIDAL SHOW WAS APLTY NAMED ” FROM THE ACCESSIBLE TO THE SUBLIME”. I CAN PERSONALLY ATTEST TO THE SUBLIME ! And given the details, the USA Manufacturing costs and materials, Jude Jowilson Bridal NYC has a price range that is reasonable.
Confectionary soldiers ready to receive their marching down- the-aisle orders! Couture wedding gown line-up !
DIVINE LACE AND EMBELLISHMENT DAZZLE.
The chic showroom reflects Jude’s all encompassing design talent. Hospitable and warm, he welcomed us with genuine affection and treats, too!
The dress above is my favorite, although the choice is very hard. The front has a high and elegant neckline, and there is a modest but alluring opening at the sides. The back is mostly open. STUNNING!
Tied for my favorites, yes I do hedge a bit here, is this champagne gown with filigree lace detail at the back. It is adorned with the Jemily necklace. I will say the marriage, pardon the pun, of the artistry of these two designers is stellar.
Perfectly faceted, an amethyst drop from this unique earring by Jemily. You can imagine the fun I was having snapping these photos of the couture wedding gown and jewels!
Closing this post with a photo taken by the talented @fwephotgraphy. This shot captures the beauty of this exceptional wedding gown designer.
For more inspiration see Jude’s Instagram page. Also visit Jemily.com for more images of sublime jewelry pieces. You can also revisit a post of Jemily here . However, do not blame me if an hour or three (!) passes by in a heartbeat .
This post is not sponsored. The only compensation I received is an emotional one; happy to partake of an event steeped in so much beauty. As well, I do love to support small and local businesses, as well as the individual artisan. All photos are mine unless otherwise stated. Feel free to share with credit to The Elle Dairies.com.
So dear readers, which gown is your favorite? Do you like a simple dress, or one that is highly embellished ? Or if you marry, would you skip the formal wedding in its entirety ? Let me know! You know How!
I love the embellishment, although my own dress was very plain. This almost (ha!) makes me want to get married again!
Yes, my reaction too!
Mine was in the middle and was 27 usd , bought at a sample saLe ! Lol. I am looking forward to being mother of the groom next year though.

Your favorite was also my favorite. In a different color and without the train, it would be a great “mother of the bride/groom” dress! Thanks for including the shots of my jewelry!
Yes, that would be fabulous! If I can tone my arms by then! It was a pleasure as you know to see your gorgeous jewelry!
❤️ Elle
How gorgeous are those gowns? I cringe when I see my wedding photos, and would do it all differently, and put some more thought in what I was wearing. Oh well … xxx
They are spectacular, it is true, but we can’t go back in time. Just buy a fabulous dress for your next anniversary!
❤️ Elle
Dear Elle. I share your favourite. Too bad I am already married 🙂 The photos are stunning, as are the dresses. I love how you always show small business and their beautiful products on your blog as well as your eye for details. Love, Lieske
Yes, I know that feeling! But I do have a wedding to attend next year as a mother of the groom ! Just saying..
I love to support talented artisans, it is refreshing to see their talent. Thanks for your thoughts!

Oh his work is stunning!! Truly and this means something coming from me as I worked in the bridal industry for five years and I LOVE that the three gowns featured in the photo are not strapless! This was such a trend for such a long time in the bridal industry it is nice to see designers stepping in out in to other areas. Gorgeous the one on the far right is my favorite.

I did not know you worked in bridal and it means a lot from you anyway! Yes, Strapless is pretty but I worry worry too much about wardrobe dysfunction and prefer an updated classic like these. That one on the right is also my fav!

Great post, while I’m not looking for wedding dresses anytime soon, as a fashion design student I can really appreciate the artistry and craftsmanship it takes to go into these pieces – love the pictures you took!

Sigh. So beautiful. So loaded with fantasy images. I never had a wedding gown – I eloped at a city hall overseas. Told my family afterwards and they looked forward to meeting the groom. It was the best day! I would like to spend a day trying on wedding gowns in thrift shops, just to know what it feels like.
You should try them on! You should buy one and style it with combat boots! Me too, sigh, my wedding dress was pretty, a $27.00 sample sale gown that was quite nice, but too big for my teeny tiny size back then. I also never got to experience the whole princess wearing white thing, and that is OK ! Just happy to be happy !
