Leopard Coat Love. It’s a thing! A lifetime admirer of this almost neutral pattern, I wear and treasure my spotted coats, bags and shoes in this time-honored pattern. What fun I had when I styled this with an abstract printed dress, patterned tights and simple two-toned heels topped with sweet chocolate bows!
I know many of you share this passion, and you abundantly use this fabulous pattern with great style aplomb.
I see fabulous posts featuring Leopard Coat Love .
Below, on a bright day, I am heavily patterned and light-hearted.
The favorite piece here? Hands down, my sweet yellow polka dot bag, as it is a gift from my daughter !
When a trolley cart is your background, inside a commercial entrance, you better hope the outfit pops!
Perhaps I was a bit embellishment crazy that day. After such a gloomy stretch of days the sun has been shining intensely. This sunshine inspired happiness persuaded me to go all out. I was happy to wear a new to me print dress, from Housing Works .
Below a tidbit about what they do!
What can I say? I just love to mix it up and love to shop small and second-hand.
Curious about how my camera would see shots of the city, when all I could see was blinding light, I took and share these shots . These light leaks are dramatic ! Have you ever seen an opalescent sky?
Perfectly hued blue skies please my eyes.
Below an art deco building shown off to advantage by natural and abundant light!
You have seen this leopard number here when I featured some highlights of my coat collection. Coats do the best job of transforming an outfit, and this particular coat is very light. As such, this leopard beauty is the perfect layer for these unseasonably warm days.
Cherie , Sheila, and Jess are often seen artfully wearing this fabulous textured print. Check out their blogs, you will be happy you did!
Leopard Coat Love: sharing the Love!
From Ebay , this double-breasted coat is a beauty and is under $24.00.
Also from eBay, this for under $45.00 but with expensive shipping.
And this in wool, which will last forever!
So dear readers, show me your spots! Tell me what you love about leopard and animal prints! Enjoy the sun, if it has graced you with it’s blue sky days!
XOXO, Elle ——
Oh, what a lovely outfit, and such lovely light in the city – that sky! I do adore leopard – always have! – and plan to wear it today, in fact! Thank you so much for the shout-out/link, Elle – you are such a dear.
This dress is wonderful – the pattern is such fun. Wishing you a calm and peaceful weekend.
Yes, this dress is such fun to wear. I can see it on you. You are often in my thoughts.
Peach and joy to you , my friend!
Love your leopard coat. The shape and colours are very 60s.
I’m a fan of neutral leopard as well. It’s a classic.
I wish we were having some of your weather. Today we are experiencing our first snow showers of the year. Ugh. I hate winter.

Snow.. we just had some and I am sorry for such a late response. I don’t like winter either, short days and cold weather.
Yes, you style leopard expertly !

I have to admit that I’m a huge fan now that I found one on Poshmark last year. It’s amazing how easy it is to grab for it because it goes with everything and makes such a fun statement!!

It’s such a lovely leopard print coat! 🙂 I really don’t have many patterned coats in my wardrobe, unless kimonos count, I have quite a lot of those haha! I would love more leopard print pieces, it’s such a fun print and never goes out of style. Your dress is the thing I love most in this post though, it’s beautiful on you 🙂
Hope that you are having a wonderful weekend 🙂 It’s a relaxing one here!
Away From The Blue Blog
Thanks Mica!
Yes, you do ave the best selection of kimono ever!

How I love that petite yellow bag of yours. Exactly my style. As for the leopard print, I have chosen to embrace this trend by buying a lovely dress. No matter how tempting and inspiring the coats look in your blogpost I do not see myself cycling to school in that type of beauties…I stick to enjoying seeing you in them. Happy weekend. Love, Lieske
Absolutely no cycling in a coat like this ! I love my coats, so easy to transform an outfit.
Happy weekend Lieske!

What a superb example of pattern mixing, Elle! I adore the funky print of your dress, and your leopard coat is just fabulous. I inherited a leopard fake fur from a great aunt – at least I do hope it is fake! – and would like to give it an outing this winter, now that it’s trending. Oh, and what a sweet little purse! xxx
Cant wait o see you in your spots Ann ! Happy weekend !

You have fantastic style, Elle! This outfit is one of my all-time favorite of yours. The coat is gorgeous, and I of course share your love for leopard print, it’s timeless. I also love this dress with geometrical “spots” and fun colors, and your spotted purse is adorable. Lovely photos of the light in the city, and my favorite one is that of the art deco building – superb!
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead, my talented friend.
Thanks Natalia,
WE do have a natural tendency to put some many components into an OOTD ! Yes the building is so pretty!
Hugs to you my friend !

Got to love a leopard print coat! And one can never embellish too much, well maybe but you don’t you look great!

I suppose one can, But I for one like to go all out, except when don’t. LOL>
Hugs to you! Elle
I am having big trouble keeping up with my favourite blogs. I might miss a few in the future Elle. Don’t hold it against me.
The dress is exquisite. Love it with the tights, the shoes and the cute bag you got from your daughter. The coat, although I love it (you know I ordered it myself but it didn’t suit me), is a bit much for me. You know I am less adventurous than you are.
Greetje
It is okay Greetje,
I find myself in the same boat! So much going on here, but that is mostly good. I am adventurous with style, so true! I appreciate your candor and the time it takes to read too!

Hi Elle,
Thank you for the mention! I have more leopard in my closet than I thought! Love the coat you are wearing, the fabric looks wonderful. I love the touches of yellow, and the pops of yellow in your dress, darling bag and then the coat. Those stockings are so fabulous! I may have to check for that style! I just love the mix of patterns and your NY photography. No snow where we are just rain for the past 5 days in a row!
