Festive footwear adds a lot of personality to holiday dressing. Novelty tights, jeweled shoes, and pearl embellished socks can definitely lend some spirited punch! A recent outfit included a teal tonal look. I added pearl socks with berry red shoes to add some footwear bling!
These shoes above are about two years old and are such fun to wear. Can you see the large pearl nestled in the heel?
Bold herringbone tights added some drama to a black dress I wore recently.
Festive footwear is fun to plan and wear!
More examples of outfits past are below! Lavender platforms can be worn with simple tights, since these below steal the show .
These would love wonderful with a green silk dress. Don’t you agree?
I chose a metallic skirt and fishnets two photos down. My pearl bag came from Suzanne’s Etsy shop! If they are not sold yet, I spied a fabulous pair of red boots there. Festive footwear shopping? Check it out!
Blue ruffled booties are a nice wintry choice. Plain, glitter or fishnet tights would be good with these! Plenty of choices of festive footwear in my closet.
Oblong pearls grace these vintage Manolo slingback! ( only $10.00 and bought many years ago !) I wore these here, with denim! The best shoes can be very versatile!
Glitter boots and a statement necklace give this casual look a holiday vibe!
Holiday sparkle with pearls, pleats and lace worn here!
My pearl bag came from Suzanne’s Etsy shop! Did I say that already? Yes, I did!
If they are not sold yet, I spied a fabulous pair of red boots there. Check it out!
Lace socks with ice-cube heels! These have a small platform in them and have rubber soles, They are pretty comfortable and are a go-to choice for events and NYFW!
Simple silver cage booties complemented all of the sparkly details, from an older holiday look!
If your outfit is already embellished, you can choose high platforms for drama. ( I have trouble walking in these now, lol! )
High platforms with fishnets is fun too!
Either way works.
It boils down to your own preference.
This metallic sculptural skirt above was bought second-hand. Boots and tights were bought locally.
Textured boots shot with metallic are also holiday ready! Don’t forget your statement rings!
Colored or textured tights would add some holiday flair to these already dramatic caged booties, bought on eBay.
Fishnet socks can add drama even to a denim look!
Closing with another look with the red pearl shoes. This is just a fun creative shot!
The weather here is cold and raining ! Sadly, I will not be posting outdoor photos for a bit. I so miss the sun. If anyone is traveling to a tropical locale, can you put me in a giant suitcase and take me with you?
SENDING LOVE FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON!

Oh, good golly, there are so many gorgeous shoes here, Elle! The pearls in the heel – yes! And are those the real sparkly boots or the Aldo knock-offs? (I missed out on the Aldo ones – why did I wait?). Inspiring! So many wonderful ideas to dress up plain clothes, or add more oomph to dressy clothes! Love them all.
Wishing you a good week, my dear!
Thanks Sheila,
Yes a fun collection, many pre owned and on sale because of my size. The glitter boots are either, they were in a store downtown near a doctor, and I don’t remember the brand. They were not expensive. No way could I afford the swarovski ones!
xo, Elle
Great shoes! Inventive heels and fun tights are perfect for the holidays. Good post.
Thanks so much!
They are fun and the herringbone pattern is thick and warm !

I love shoes and you have so many beautiful ones!! It’s so fun to pair them with tights or socks. Your examples are just lovely!!!
Yes,
we do love our footwear.
Happy holidays!

You have so many fun statement shoes but those glittery boots are my favourite – what sparkle! 🙂
Hope that you are having a nice start to your week and the weather is not too cold for you – completely agree with it being difficult to get photos outside in winter!

Thanks Mica!
The glitter boots are fun to wear!
Hope all is good.

Ah shoe heaven! I would love to see those padded white black boots in your closet!
Thanks Nancy,
they are as close to a white boot that a Manhattan lady can handle!

So many wonderful shoes! Those platforms are INSANE!!! I love them! Ha! I can really see they would be challenging to walk in though. Wearing unique tights/socks really punches up your looks. I should do that more often. I find fishnets bother the soles of my feet if I wear them too long. I think my annoying aging feet are overly sensitive and cramping my style vibe. I love seeing the pearl clutch. It makes me so happy when I can see a piece that was rescued and is being enjoyed by someone else. Thanks for the shout-out! I think… Read more »
I feel you about feet and comfort!
The platforms are only a challenge because my ankles are so weak.
The incline is not too bad!
Loved wearing my pearl clutch. It will have a holiday outing too!

What a fabulous array of festive footwear you’ve got in your closet, Elle! Puts my collection of plain, boring shoes and boots to shame. I have difficulty choosing a favourite, but I’m very taken with those amazing glitter boots, while the textured boots are to-die-for and look very cozy to boot (pun intended). Oh, and the blue ruffled booties! I’m swooning! Hugs xxx
Yes, my footwear is festive! It is fun to add color and fun details!

Wow, Id be a kid in a candy store with this shoe selection! I love the embellishments and the fishnets, tights you wear with them. Glorious silver boots and those pearl red shoes are gorgeous! I just bought some lacey socks I am wearing with my mesh booties today and would wear them with pumps or sandals, love that look. Beautiful as always, your accessories are so fabulous. May I ask the name of those black pumps with the houndstooth stockings? I am looking for a pair that are stylish and comfy. Thanks friend and Happy Holidays! jess xx http://www.elegantlydressedandstylish.com… Read more »
They are naturalizer, one of the comfiest I own. The flexible bottom, rubber outsole, and foot cushioning is perfect.
Happy holidays Friend!

Thanks Jessica,
Yes I am feeling pretty festive right now. Happy and Merry!

Woman, you are a vision with dare. LOVE all the outfits. Very hard to choose a pair of favourite shoes or a favourite outfit. They are all sooooo good. OK, I will choose the gold top and silver knee high boots outfit, because it is so bold and unexpected.

I am so grateful to your kind words, as I know you mean them! One thing you can always expect from me– and that is the unexpected! Happy Holidays dear friend!

Dear Elle. Wow…so many shoes and so fancy and festive. I am not easily at loss for words, but this blogpost has made me speechless. “Wow” is about the only thing I can come up with right now. Love, Lieske
No, not you! at a loss for words ??? Yes, shoes, I own a few.. and keep them forever ! LOL! Happy holidays friend !

Wow, you have such an amazing shoe collection!!! I adore a beautiful shoe, but physical challenges keep me in more practical shoes and legwear, boo. In my next life I hope for pretty legs and feet!
Shooting is certainly challenging this time of year, and we’ve really had it pretty easy so far this year! I think it’s supposed to be in the 50s on Friday and Saturday!
Happy Holidays.

The fifties! Oh, enjoy! Yes, I do love my shoes but I also wear naturalizer pumps most of the time of comfy boots with rubber bottoms!
Happy Holidays!

You’re going to enjoy the mild weather, too – it’s here, in New York! Tomorrow, mostly sunny, high of 54. Make sure to get outside!
YES! Yes, I di, I got out and met a friend for lunch !
Happy and healthy 2019, may you have great joy in the New Year !

Wow so many stunning and stylish kicks here! Your lucky you can wear high heel platforms. I don’t wear anything above 2 inches most of the time. Sometimes 3 but thats it. If wore shoes this high I would have to duck to get in to doorways. And LOVE all the outfits here too! Can’t wait to catch up at NYFW
