Romantic blouses are certainly a wardrobe staple. Adding a bit of lace, soft ruffles or wispy details is a great way to dress up causal looks.
Of course, they work with the more obvious boho skirts.
As well, romantic blouses completely change the look of casual joggers and denim.
This post features a sea foam hued blouse bought recently at a charity shop. It is made in Europe.
Combining this dressier blouse with camo joggers is unexpected. However, this typifies my style. Purchasing the outfit pieces secondhand, too, is in accordance with my shopping ethos.
My Chanel sandals came from Michael’s consigment last summer. Tweed and gold chains decorate these sandals.
Oh, how I love my tweed!
Likely, you have seen these photos on Instagram. That said, I do like to emphasize the point that what is trending is also something that can be viewed as classic.

Samantha wore this diaphanous blouse beautifully here. She is such a beauty, inside and out!
What a pleasure it is to style this lovely lady!
Sitting casually provides another glimpse of this romantic blouse.
Do you notice that my outfit is the same color scheme as the painting behind me!

Either you love this combination or you truly do not!
Shopping ideas come next, but please shop second-hand first. No links, therefore no temptation !
Another post that features a ruffles blouse is here.
Gorgeous blooms have finally come to New York and they inspire fashion choices!
Below is a shot from a public park near me. The colors of the blooms resemble the turquoise shade I wear.
So dear readers, do you like romantic blouses or are you a fan of a cleaner shirt look?
Let me know ! You know how.
I hope your world is colorful today!

I never used to like the feminine pieces as much, but I’ve learned it’s good to be a girl. And especially when you mix them this way!!!
Always so lovely Elle.

I like both clean and structured blouses and also romantic blouses, you know me! I love the special details of some flouncy sleeves or ruffles. Those shoes are something special too!

Oh, seafoam green! I have so many slightly traumatic memories of that colour from the 80s! I love the cut and style of that top – the camo pants are awesome with the tweedy shoes (LOVE) but are not quite me. You pull this off so beautifully, Elle! Such an inspiration (literally: to breathe in!) on a spring day. Those flowers are amazing.
I hope your week is filled with sun and flowers!
I wouldn t even dare to wear those amazing sandals! I would love to stare at them for hours! Just thrilling! Is that the correct word? That you see ,mostly with shoes, a item that you think is so beautiful that it is so exited! Well anyway, love the elegant blouse with the cool joggers! That s the way to wear joggers!
I quite like the thought of pairing a romantic, ruffly blouse, with a pair of jeans. I never wear joggers, as I’m not a fan of them, but you still managed to convince me here. That ethereal blouse is utterly divine, it would transform any outfit! xxx
While I don’t have many romantic blouses I did just buy one recently and it’s gotten a lot of wear! 🙂 it’s a lovely style to have and you wear it well I think 🙂
Hope that your week is going well! It’s been such a big and busy one here!
Away From The Blue
Oooh… this is lovely. I’m a big fan of romantic blouses. I’d wear ’em every day if society allowed it.
I love the way a super feminine blouse like this can transform a look!

So true! This blouse looks great the more casual pants. I also like them with skinny jeans and high boots. Oh my those Chanel shoes are killer!
