Yes, I know! We are all simmering in the heat, wearing our lightest dresses, and the last thing on our minds is fall clothing. Yet, here I am with a bomber jacket I love, and a look that can take me into fall.
I have always been fan of a denim pencil skirt, and this one- sold out from J.Crew- is great. A deep indigo blue, not too distressed, with a slit that makes walking to work do-able. I got my jacket at Workshop and it is also sold out. I love the army green and the fit. There is also one I like that is available here, but not in this color, though super cute in navy, and it is also available in denim which I love. A similar skirt can be found here. It is also J.Crew.
I found this python and leather bag at a UES boutique and I love it. I added a red python key fob from another bag, and now it looks like the Gucci bag that I have my eye on. Fox’s has the best designer, off-price in the city, and their selection of bags, all made in Italy ( and not China) are all on-trend, and well made of sumptuous materials. This is a must for those coming into the city to shop!
My lovely silk scarf was a gift from a friend, but I did find a cute scarf for $9! My shopping links from my Polyvore set are more expensive, so I wanted to give you better-priced options too.
Here are some close-up shots of the details. Below bracelets from STA and KcSignatures.
Below you can see my “Gucci Hack” bag. I had some fun with this python fob and some charms, in another post or two. Of course, the Gucci bag is nicer- much nicer, and I still want it! Sigh.
Below is an outfit I created, based on this one, via Polyvore. The Gucci bag is featured there! Sweet, right?
You can find the shopping links here, and they are pictured below so you do not have to leave the page,if you prefer.
I think that a denim pencil skirt and a lightweight bomber are staples for the coming season. I prefer the solid ones to those that are embellished, but I also like those. The solid ones are just more versatile, and the contrast trim is a nice touch. The pencil skirt can be worn causally with ballet flats or, more formally, with heels. As well, the bomber jacket is perfect with cut offs, and would work well with any skirt or trousers, and would look super cool with fringed jeans!
