Happy week my dear readers! I hope this autumn Monday suits you well. I, for one, am enjoying the slightly cooler weather and the chill in the air when the sun sets. To whit, I am wearing an autumnal color palette: Goldenrod, burgundy, purple, chocolate brown and teal.
It is still warm enough to wear a sleeveless dress, but at night and when in the shade, I need a layering piece. I choose a cashmere cardi bought last year on sale from Saks Fifth Avenue. I love my goldenrod colored dress with the pleated skirt and placket. This color palette can work for either summer or fall, even winter with the right layers! And I choose to wear gloves more as a fashion statement and to bring in cooler weather accessories. I will need them before I know it!
I love these color blocked booties. I think they are Louboutin because of the red heel, but can’t be sure. They are hand-me-down’s from my twin, Lucky I know! My vintage croc bag came from STA years ago, I love the handle and hardware. My pendant necklace is from KCSignatures and my corded choker is from the box from a Bergdorf package, that I twisted around my neck twice. I looks like leather, and was free!
The link I sent is from their Instagram, which is shoppable if you call them! Have fun browsing!
All that this outfit is missing for a perfect fall transition is tights, but I just could not bring myself to add that layer. I love the lacy ones from Chanel, but they are too pricey. I like a pattern that does not show much skin and adds texture. My dress is from F21 last year, and I could find nothing like it online. Below is a good close up shot!
Hair and makeup was done by Shelly! And photos by Gerardo Vitale.
I hate to leave you without some shopping inspiration, (although I think the KC Signatures Instagram link can keep you busy for quite a while!) So I put together a similar kind of outfit on Polyvore. See below. Those are the tights I think would be great for fall!
Here is a snap of the links, go to Polyvore for clickable links if you choose!
Enjoy the rest of the week, my lovely stylish friends! Also, more #NYFW coverage to come, once you see the photos you will see why I am a bit late with posting them!
