The air was chilly 10 days back, as the cool water breeze, blew inland with gusto. I layered generously and enjoyed my delicious dinner at Sag Harbor’s Baron’s Cove. Excited to share more reent
Over 30 years ago when we started coming out to the Hamptons for a bit of rest ( think Manhattan in Mid-July, temps in the 90’s; still stuffy air and crowded parks). We stayed at Baron’s Cove before renovations and it was lackluster, albeit convenient to Sag Harbor.
That was back then.
Fast forward to the renovation, the extravagant attention to detail that imparts a lush, but not over-the-top, vibe. Now we have a cozy, tasteful place that feels like a Resort Inn and deserves its rating as the # 1 Hotel in New York and Mid-Atlantic by Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards 2016.
When I say chilly, I mean it. The fireplace was beautiful, warm, and NECESSARY!
Below some sweet indoor details, including a paper map as a placemat.
I loved the inviting entrance; It gave me the feel for this lovely place as we strolled in.
The food was delicious and I do know from friends that the accommodations there are nice, and while pricey, are fairly modest for the area. It was the perfect place for a leisurely meal with my husband and two adult children. Our food was fresh, locally sourced, and delicious. The presentation was also lovely.
I wanted many layers for this chilly night so I wore a tiered denim skirt, my favorite go-to for this season so far. It is from Children’s Gap and was thrifted for 3 dollars. My floral bomber came from Workshop, a local boutique and is sold out, but you will see options below. My striped cardi is also children’s and came from Aeropostale. I think that all three pieces cost me about $40.00!
