Hello loves. Perfect autumn weather is here, and I am layering  like a kid in a candy shop .

You know how I love textures. and nothing is more inspirational than nature’s own autumnal palette.  In tones of chocolate and flashes of scarlet, and camel; I am mirroring the shades of the season.

My skirt is burnt out velvet. Did you think my post title suggested  something else? It is by Proenza Shouler, and is rendered in silk and lined in silk georgette , via Michaels Consignment Shop. I am wearing long velvet opera gloves, also via  Michael’s.  It is hard saying good-bye to summer. but bring on autumn layers!

  10. God-smacked. You had me at the first image. Elle, you create a look masterfully. I’m a sucker for gloves. I’ve been collecting them for years. They’re so intriguing. I love watching old footage of Jackie Kennedy and Queen Elizabeth (during her twenties). The delicate hand shake…so precious, but something so powerful about them. Great look, Elle!

    1. Thanks so much Glenda! I can get bigger images on SquareSpace, but I think they may be too big– working on that. I do want my clothing and asseccories to be well captured. Something that I have not achieved in my older posts.I love gloves, too, long ones. Love the ostrich ones from Fendi, or Mui Mui? Maybe Prada..seeing them a lot in the shop windows near me. One day, something like that will show up eBay !Yes, the delicate handshake, the grace of another time…xx, Elle
