I am in cahoots with Nature: we are both sporting unlikely florals, defying the weather and the grey complacency of December.
In the second week of December, we have been graced with warm temperatures. What a sight to see flowers still in bloom alongside the lovely spectacle of Christmas lights. Inspired by this, I am wearing a lively pattern mix, punctuated by florals shining on silk charmeuse. I added a pendant necklace from a downtown shop.
There was the endless noise of jackhammers today, streets sectioned off because of falling bricks on a roof (hundreds of them falling like rain, falling from the top of a 35 story building near me, more on this tomorrow). But there was sunshine, thready but warm, and flowers! Is this really Manhattan?
On a side street, the sunlight is fading. Still, it is warm so no need for a hat or scarf. Happy me!
Just another day in this bustling city, where there is always a surprise in store.
