In the US, we are enjoying a long holiday weekend of #MDW (Memorial Day Weekend), and the official start to the summer season. It has been warm and sunny. The weather has been splendid.
Our daughter is here and hubby and I are celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary! We are enjoying a special weekend. We have been to the wharf in Sag Harbor, the beach, to friends’ houses, and to the town of East Hampton for dinner. it is crowded, but the food is good.
How can you not be content and peaceful when you have such beautiful views and places to visit?
My #OOTD is lackluster compared to nature’s glorious spectacle, but I will post it anyway. I am wearing a tasseled skirt and a summer-ready nautical anchor tee (J.Crew) and sweater (J McLaughlin). My easy clutch is tobacco leather and has a chain handle that makes it easy and chic to carry.
The sun is strong, it is casting shadows. The shadows remind me that there is more to this holiday than sunsets and barbecues. But back to fashion…
I seldom wear flats, but these do have a comfortable one-inch sole, and are by Sergio Ripari, sold out, but similar here.
You have seen this bracelet many times by KC Signatures. I love the way the handle of the clutch works with the woven bracelet.
I hope you are having a good weekend. I do want to take some time to reflect upon the sacrifice of those before us, and those to come, who walk the walk, to ensure our safety as a nation. We are living in a difficult time and thus a good time to take stock.
