Hello ! Last weekend I went to a blogger’s meet up at Chicos in Manhattan, and I met some fabulous ladies! I also discovered why Chico’s is such a popular shopping place!
Below, I am being playful. Getting a quick photo in while I am also peeking at some sweaters!
Chicos was very gracious for hosting this spirited group. Fashion bloggers, mostly in their fifties, came together and got to meet one another IRL ! We had great fun. It is wonderful to connect the people to their blogs and/or Instagram accounts!
Did you happen to notice Eugenia’s ( The Age of Grace) fabulous brooch? It was made by BiraBiro, a talented lawyer who also happens to make the most creative and eye popping jewelry. SO impressive, and super nice too. You will see me wearing one of her pieces as soon as I can make up my mind which to buy!
Outside a fun snap. Legs and shopping bags!
Just before the “Bloggers Meet Up”, I was worried about getting there. My friend and neighbor got two shots of me; one in the street, and one hailing a cab- a quintessentially NYC thing to do. I try to walk most places, and then there is Uber….but a yellow cab was in order for a relatively quiet weekend. I hate to be late.
I am wearing a $5.00 thrifted silk chiffon skirt, and buckled booties from Zulily.com. I love this flash sale site because they represent many small companies. YOU know that I am a big fan of shopping small, locally, and second hand.
I love adding texture to an outfit with tights. I have been wearing these metallic fishnets everywhere, it seems! The dash of flash is discreet but fun. Bought locally of course. My rag and bone vest was originally from Intermix. I bought it new with the Intermix tags at Encore on Madison Avenue. My box bag was an Ebay find and strongly resembles my Mark Cross Grace bag. Yes, this lady can shop!
I did arrive about 5 minutes late. But I so enjoyed myself. I thank Chicos for hosting us and Eugenia for organizing this. I am probably leaving some others out, and for that I apologize in advance. It was a pretty large gathering- and I was quite happily preoccupied with admiring so much style.
I must say I was quite impressed with Chicos inventory; fabulous sweaters, rich twills, and some dazzling embroidered pieces. Cherie from StyleNudge was wearing gorgeous embroidered denim that I WANT WANT NEED! 🙂
Below a quick snap of the goodie filled swag bag resting on my sofa. It is my first Chico’s shopping bag- but not my last!
Have a wonderful weekend dear friends! Stay fabulous, and remember to shop with Heart!
