Up Your Denim Game : Lace Trim Jeans

Up your denim game!

Add embroidery, lace, fringe, OR all three – as shown below!

Denim jeans by We the People Here, Stripe blouse in orange, similar here , supple leather soft clutch with stripe, similar here , Pearl trimmed shawl, similar here . ——-

With a sunny smile on my face I reveled in the sunshine, letting the breeze kiss my shoulders.

My lace trimmed shawl is light, almost sheer and adds some texture with studs and pearls. Lace inserted into denim makes them look special and feel cool.   These will be worn  often as it continues to get warm. The fun embroidery is floral and shouts “Spring is Here” ! Below the details of the denim.

Sigh, it is still not sandal season, but my black pumps are comfortable for walking. And walking we did, hubby and I, until  we found this spot and took another shot. Thanks Hubby!

Closer views of some of these items are below. Sheila of Ephemera reminded me to show  the details, so I am! Thanks Sheila!  The shawl has more pearls than appears in the photograph.

Up your denim game with some DIY appliqués, pearls, or patches. Buy embellished jeans with panels, wide legs, top stitching, fringe, and self cuffs. There are so many ways to add novelty to our denim staples. Scour second-hand stores too, as they have some inexpensive jeans that you can easily embellish. See the post here for how to find and save on these fashion items.

What denim pieces are you wearing for Spring? Are you buying, or creating some of the novelty denim that is trending? Lace with denim ?

Yay or Nay?

  1. Ooh! I like! Those jeans are really fun! I remember a phase (can’t exactly remember the time frame, maybe early 90s) when jean hems were embellished with bands of velvet and beaded fringe, so fun! I was in a non-jean phase right then so never owned any but I remember them fondly and would gladly wear them now.

  2. It’s funny how everything comes back around eventually. I should have held onto my jeans that were embellished! Ah well.

    These jeans are very cute.

We might get snow tomorrow! : ( We haven’t had any in over 2 months and it is depressing to think it might come. I have my fingers crossed the weatherman got it wrong.

  3. Love the embellishments on the jeans take them to a classy lady level this is why you you fabulous in them.

  4. I am a fan of embellished anything! I love these fun jeans, Elle, and your styling is aces. Thank you for the detail shot – love the tassel on the bag, and pearls on the scarf, so pretty! Thank you for the kind shout-out – hugs to you on this brisk spring day.

  5. Dear Elle. You look great as always. I love these jeans of yours. So original and special, like many of your wardrobe pieces. You are far more daring than me in your choices and I like that. It makes me broaden my view, which is always a good thing in life. As for the denim-lace trend: I already have this combination in my wardrobe. I will make sure to post it in the near future. Totally different from yours, but that is so cool about fashion and style: we can share the same principles and be very different in doing so. Have a great week. Hope spring is really in the air where you live as well! Love, Lieske

  6. Just today on this spring day I’m wearing a mom jeans, dear Elle 🙂 Definitely not to compare with your wonderful piece you combined perfectly with the striped shirt. You are the spring in person and you and your husband found beautiful spots as locations. Enjoy the rest of the week!
    xx Rena
